Dwayne and Lisa Colvard have invited us to their campground on August 19th. It takes about 75 minutes to get there from Statesville. Plan to arrive around 11:30 AM. You will be able to rent kayaks, canoes, or a float at the office of Twin Rivers Family Campground in Crumpler. They will drive you up the river for a 2 or 4-hour float. Liza suggests a 2-hour float. If you are on the River by 1:00 PM, then you will end up at their camper around 3:00 PM. The Colvards will supply hamburgers and hotdogs, rolls, condiments, and paper products. They ask that you bring a covered dish. They will supply water. If you want something else to drink, bring what you would prefer. If you don’t want to get on the river, you can stay back with Lisa and relax in the water or at the camper. Please bring your own lawn chair. If you plan to come, please sign up below.
